Someone Stole The Viking Ship and with it an Alexandria Lakes Area Tradition! Do we need to bring in the Authorities?
Remember when people used to have those "Kodak" moment things in front of Big Ole and @ the Viking Ship in front of the Chamber of Commerce. I want to know who stole the Viking Ship.
I know it has been stolen from our tourist experience and this area. Did it happen when we moved Big Ole? Was it disassembled piece by piece and sold to underground procurers only to some day show up in the new Maritime Museum. Fess up...these things don't just get up and walk away on their own.
You know who you are! If you did this we will all close our eyes and turn our backs (just like we have on this subject for a couple of years), and you may return the ship, no questions asked.
And if you do not return the Viking Ship, then we will just have to find you and the Viking Ship. I've got it! This could be the way we determine a new Sheriff for Douglas County, this year. Forget about the Vote, forget about those stupid advertisements, those rediculous lawn signs (which maybe should be stolen), shaking hands and kissing babies at the County Fair, ug! Forget about all of that...The first person to find our Viking Ship and the person who stole it should become our next Sheriff.
It makes perfect sense to me. If you return the Viking Ship to its rightful place, then you will help Protect & Serve our Alexandria Lakes Area/Douglas County Traditions and you should be Sheriff.
